NATURAL MANIFESTO

At Life Natural, we believe that the best pet food doesn’t come from scientific laboratories, but is simply what pets would hunt in the wild. And even if we see them lounging on the sofa, by nature dogs and cats are still carnivores.

Our approach to nutrition is natural, simple, and without unnecessary frills. Based on respecting a few rules, the rules of nature… Let’s take a look.

NO VEGANPET FOOD

To put it simply, dogs and cats need plenty of animal protein to stay healthy and happy. Cats are obligate carnivores, while dogs are occasional carnivores, but their bodies suffer without meat.

Let’s choose chicken or salmon for their diet…
Leave the oats for the little birds!

DOG AND CAT HAVE ALWAYSBEEN CARNIVORES!

The cat is an obligate carnivore; for thousands of years, it lived by hunting small prey, and its body is still that of a predator today. Its teeth, agility, and balance help it catch prey. Without high-quality meat and fish, it cannot meet its needs or get essential nutrients such as essential amino acids.

The dog is a facultative carnivore; it descends from the “gray wolf” and lived by hunting for thousands of years. Humans domesticated it long ago, which is why it’s always under the table asking you for food! But it’s still a carnivore… Physical factors, not opinions, make it one, such as its teeth, digestive system, and intestinal length.

WE THINKWITH OURGUT

Your pet would do the same in the wild, and its instincts are right…
Given a chicken breast or a tuna steak, or a feather or a bone, your pet would go for the former… who could blame it.

It’s not just the quantity but also the quality of the meat and fish we choose for their diet that matters.

NOT ALLMEAT IS…MEAT

There’s a big difference between a chicken breast and a processing by-product.

But what do we mean by processing BY-PRODUCTS?

The term “meat and animal derivatives” (or by-products) refers to slaughterhouse waste, such as bones, feathers, beaks, intestines, tracheas, etc.

When we talk about CHOICE CUTS of meat and fish, we mean the parts we would eat ourselves, such as chicken breast, tuna steak, beef fillet, etc., etc.

Enough ofthe sameold story

Would you eat pizza for a whole week straight?
Don’t think your pet is any different: why feed them the same protein all the time? In nature, they wouldn’t find the same thing to eat two days in a row. Take a cue from nature and please… mix it up!!

DO YOU EATPIZZA EVERYDAY? THENWHY SHOULDYOUR PET?

By now, it’s common to give a pet the same type of kibble throughout its life, or to always feed a cat canned food made with tuna. This leads to several problems:
1. First, taste… Just like us, dogs and cats enjoy trying NEW FLAVORS and textures. This affects their behavior.
2. Intolerances. A dog or cat that is always fed the same product is more likely to develop an intolerance.
3. For a puppy, based on the phenomenon of oral tolerance, this will even be essential to prevent its body from later recognizing them as a threat and developing intolerances.
4. Feeding just one food can lead to deficiencies in some macro- or micronutrients…

AFTER ALL, IN NATURE, INSTINCT WOULD LEAD DOGS AND CATS TO VARY THEIR DIET….

Monoprotein food

A crunchytreat isn’tprey.

We’re telling you because your pets already know it.

Although nutritionally complete, dry food has its limitations; it isn’t natural prey. Alternating complete dry food and high-quality natural wet food is the best way to provide nutrition as close as possible to what they would get in the wild.

MIX FEEDING…A NATURAL CHOICE

Mix feeding is a nutritional choice that involves mixing wet food with dry food, making the most of the benefits of both and thus ensuring optimal nutrition.
